Heartwood Burl, as a proud subsidiary of Heartwood Haven, is dedicated to supporting the vital mission of making a difference in the lives of foster children in the Tampa Bay area. Our founder, inspired by a deep-seated commitment to social change, has embraced a cause that highlights the struggles faced by an estimated 400,000 children in the U.S. foster care system.
Many of these children enter their new environments with little more than a trash bag containing their most basic belongings. This reality starkly emphasizes the need for compassion and support. Heartwood Haven's initiative seeks to restore dignity to these young lives by providing backpacks filled with essential items, ensuring they feel valued and cared for as they transition to new homes.
By partnering with local organizations and community members, Heartwood Haven is committed to collecting, assembling, and distributing these backpacks.
